Spring has sprung and the wet weather persists…

Everyone was back into it this week. It was full steam ahead after a week long break and everything is running to schedule.

An underground scene…what could this mean?

The scenes

92 scenes were filmed from Monday to Friday this week with another 10 scenes filmed on Saturday. This makes a total of 84.18 minutes. The Parallel unit was used for 4 days out of 6 with a lot of extras used in scenes of the city streets

The locations

The locations this week included Kenepuru Hospital, Rooftop of the James Smith carpark, and the Opera house surround which is often used as “city streets”.

The earliest Crew Call was 05:35am for the unit team – on Saturday!

The latest Crew Call was at 12:45pm for the Parallel Unit on Monday. The later they start, the later they finish. This was a special night shoot.

So the wrap time was the latest on Monday at 23:30pm.

The earliest call for our cast was 05.25am for Victoria Spence. Not too many early starts this week which gave the cast a little extra lie in. The latest pick-up this week was for the lucky Caleb Ross at 14.20pm.

The weather

Quite a bit of rain again this week with the occasional bright patch. A storm blew in in the weekend but luckily the crew were inside for filming on Saturday. Spring has sprung!

Monday 29th October
Mainly fine

Tuesday 30th October
Cloudy periods with strong and gusty northerlies. A few drizzly showers possible towards evening

Wednesday 31st October
Cloudy with rain developing for a time then clearing by evening. Gusty northwesterlies.

Thursday 1st November
Rain or showers at times as frontal disturbances pass through.

Friday 2nd November
Mainly fine with a few afternoon showers possible abou the Hutt Valley.

Saturday 3rd November
A period of rain in the morning, showers in the afternoon, as a southerly change sweeps through.
