The Tribe Tour 2002 – Bringing the Dream to the World – Highlights

Meryl, Caleb, Tori and Michael have now returned from their Tribe Tour 2002 to Germany and the UK. This week we will take a look at some of the highlights of the tour.

Wow, what a trip! The whole tour was fantastic and the gang thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Fans at Starcity, Birmingham, UK

The biggest highlight for everyone involved had to be meeting you, the fans!

All four of the travellers (and the people that accompanied them) were absolutely blown away by the amount of fans who travelled for many miles to catch a glimpse of The Tribe stars.

The hugs, kind words, gifts and letters that were given to Meryl, Caleb, Tori and Michael (and other Cloud 9 employees) were hugely appreciated and will never be forgotten.

So a huge THANK YOU to all those of you who went to extraordinary lengths to meet the cast, and also for the emails and letters and photographs that many of you have been sending in to us, here at Please keep them coming in.

Well, the tour was huge and there was a lot of travelling involved. You will have kept up to date with the progress of the tour through the various location reports that were sent back direct from location. And we will be bringing you plenty more tour information in the weeks to come.

We are aware that there are so many fans in so many countries who would love to get the chance to meet some of the cast of The Tribe. And the cast would love to meet you too! If you would like a tour to come to your country or city, please email us and let us know.

And don’t forget to write to your local broadcaster too. They help put the tours together and it is important for them to know how popular the show is and how much you would like there to be other tours. Together we can bring the dream to the world!

Frankfurt Airport
As we have already mentioned, the biggest highlight was to meet the fans face to face. And the first time this happened was at Frankfurt Airport.

Just some of the fans at Frankfurt Airport, Germany

Many fans had been waiting at the airport for several hours and it was an amazing feeling for us, to step off the plane and out into the arrivals hall to be met by so many screaming fans!

Our Tour Bus!
We loved our tour bus! We had a whole coach all to ourselves with a toilet, television and VCR, a CD player and a leather couch at the back of the bus.

And we had the best driver in the world, Ingo and our ‘guide’, Dennis, who both really helped to make our trip around Germany a safe and happy one.

Day with the KI.KA fans…
This was such a great day and a real highlight. We had a full day with these fans and spent a lot of time talking to them on our bus.

Tori and Michael in the snow with the KI.KA competition winners in Bad Toelz, Germany

We went go-karting and ice-curling, went for a ride through the snow in a horse-drawn sleigh and had dinner in a Bavarian log cabin, up in the mountains.

What a lovely couple of girls and what a fantastic experience for us all.

Time in Munich…
We really enjoyed an afternoon off in the city centre of Munich. We were all struck by the beautiful architecture and the general feel of the city in the evening.

Michael on a cold winters’ evening in Munich, Germany

We spent some time at the outdoor ice-skating rink and just loved the atmosphere. Competition lunches… We had a great time with all the competition winners (and their families) at both the Channel 5 lunch at the Rainforest Café and the Tribeworld/Atlantis High lunch at Planet Hollywood.

What an awesome group of people! And it was also great to spend some time with all of the ‘behind-the-scenes’ people from Channel 5 and Cloud 9, UK who took care of us so very well.

Birmingham Starcity Personal Appearance…
This was a fantastic day! We knew that there would be a lot of fans at Starcity but were caught totally unawares. The moment we came round the corner and heard the screaming and saw the huge line-up of people we felt emotional and happy at the same time.

The fantastical four at Starcity, Birmingham, UK

The day turned out really well, everybody was so supportive and patient. It meant a great deal to us to be able to meet so many of you and we were amazed at the difference of ages of the fans. Mums, Dads, Grannies, little brothers, every age-bracket was covered!

It was great that members of the Cloud 9 team got such positive feedback from the fans as well. Thanks to all those of you who said your piece to camera!

Watching The Tribe and Atlantis High on Channel 5 in the UK…
We all bundled into a bedroom at the hotel and watched the shows. We got a real buzz out of seeing them on the tv!

Disneyland Paris…
What an experience that was! We had the best time ever and didn’t want to leave. There was such magic in the air and the rides were awesome. We were lucky enough to be able to stay the night so that we got to go on some of our favourite rides again.

And we got to meet a lot of fans from all over Europe who were also enjoying themselves in the theme park, even sharing the train ride home with some of them. What a bonus!

As you can see, there were many highlights of the tour. So many happy memories. But without you, the fans, the whole thing would not have been possible.

So a huge thank you once more for all your support and for making the Tribe Tour 2002 such a memorable one!

Until we meet again…
