Early 2024 update/announcements on The Tribe
Here is an update for early 2204 on some of what to expect coming up this year, with some news on all things Tribal, including:
- The release of The Tribe Trilogy audiobook! Running for 34 hours (approx), this audiobook drama contains the continuing story of The Tribe following on from the on-screen events in the series from Season 5. The audiobook features narration from many members of the original Tribe cast returning to reprise their characters and ‘tell’ the story. The audiobook is now available on The Tribe’s official Shopify Store as well as Apple Books, Google Play, Spotify (and coming soon to Amazon’s Audible platform). Watch this space for more information!). The Tribe Trilogy is also available as a physical book or eBook.
- The Tribe Collector’s Edition Screenplay is available on major book and eBook platforms, as well as The Tribe’s official Shopify store, and contains an updated introduction on what has occurred to the present day from the time Ray’s memoir ‘Keeping The Dream Alive‘ was released, as well as a screenplay of the movie Ray was working on at the time with the vision of Flame and The Privileged that Ray originally envisaged.
Available now in English, a German release of the publication is due to be released in 2024! (more details will be announced regarding dates and availability in 2024). - The Tribe Game is available in English, German and Spanish on the Steam platform for Windows PC and Mac, and also available from The Tribe’s official Shopify Store. A ‘retro’ themed roleplaying game, this gives the player a chance to create their very own character with their own look and to interact with characters from The Tribe on a series of quests.
The team is currently working on an iOS beta version of The Tribe game for iPhone and iPad! We hope to have more news on this in 2024. - The Tribe: Birth of the Mall Rats and Keeping The Dream Alive have also been released in the past year as audiobooks on Amazon’s Audible, Apple Books, Google Play, Spotify, and The Tribe’s official online store. These are not audio dramas in the same way that The Tribe Trilogy sequel audiobooks are (featuring music, sound effects) and are more traditional audiobooks with narration from members of The Tribe cast.
We are looking forward to a Spanish release of both Birth of the Mall Rats and Keeping The Dream Alive in 2024 on paperback and eBook (we will announce more details when we can!). Keeping The Dream Alive is also already available in physical book or eBook in German and English. - Music from The Tribe continues to be available in the form of The Tribe soundtrack albums Volume 1 and Volume 2, which can be listened to on Apple Music/iTunes, as well as Amazon Music, Spotify and other platforms. Other music from Cloud 9’s series Revelations, Atlantis High and The Spirit Symphony is also available to stream or for digital download. We hope to have information on new music releases in the future (listen to this space for more announcements! 🙂 ).
- The Tribe in HD on Blu-ray All five seasons of The Tribe are available on Blu-ray from Pidax Films with German and English audio! The remastered HD version of The Tribe is in 1080p and the Blu-rays also contain some special features such as an audio commentary from The Tribe creator, Raymond Thompson!
- The Tribe on Vimeo also contains an HD remastered version of each series/season of The Tribe to stream on through the Vimeo app on your device or download to play on a variety of software and devices. Other Cloud 9 titles are also available on the Cloud 9 official Vimeo store.
- Happy Anniversary to The Tribe! 2024 will be the 25th anniversary year of The Tribe since Series 1 had its original world-wide debut broadcast on Channel Five in the UK in April, 1999. We have some anniversary plans to celebrate the milestone of The Tribe, which has been seen in so many countries over the years, and continues to be watched to this day! Thanks to everyone who has watched and supported the series over the years and who continue to watch (as well as read in the form of the books, and listen via the audiobooks) to the continuing story of the Mall Rats and The Tribe characters in the unfolding saga.
