Many of the Tribeworld.com team (as well as being complete fans of The Tribe of course!!) and many Tribe fans have greatly enjoyed Bryan Lee O’Malley’s wonderful Scott Pilgrim graphic novels over the years and the movie starring Michael Cera which was released in 2010.
We’ve had a lot of enquiries from fans of The Tribe about the reference to The Tribe which appears in Volume 6 (Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour) of the Scott Pilgrim books, and to answer all the queries, here it is (Volume 6 published by Oni Press, Scott Pilgrim copyright © Bryan Lee O’Malley 2010):
It’s great to have The Tribe and it’s world of no adults mentioned in the Scott Pilgrim book, so it’s only fair to mention it back! 🙂 😛
So now the question is… will there ever be a The Tribe manga book? It’s certainly a great medium and a way to explore some more storylines and characters of The Tribe universe and lore and something that has been considered in the past by Cloud 9. We know a lot of Tribe fans are into anime and manga. So – would you read a The Tribe manga? There’s a lot of Tribe stories to ‘draw’ upon (excuse the pun). Watch this space…
In the meantime, speaking of books, just a few months to go now until the release of the first novel that officially continues the story of The Tribe after Series 5, The Tribe – A New World.
